Breaking-in a Rc Nitro Engine 2-stroke glow

Prepare your Nitro RC engine takes only a few hours, but the benefits are worth the investment time. In a nutshell RC 2-stroke engine with a tapered sleeve to create compression, while cars across the fullest use of piston rings. The process of breaking the engine is to ensure that the piston and the shirt have the best possible fit. Like all things RC it depends who you ask the divisions in an engine.

From experience I can tell you that all methods of work and, if in doubt refer to the manual, they will by break-in procedures specific to your engine. the only important thing to remember is not to be too severe on the engine, slowly breaking taking your time. Remember your not running yet …

Step 7 in detail the procedure

Although most people recommend using about 5 tanks of fuel through the general search engine, I want to run 7, I just to make sure I get the engine broken properly. If you look at the oil out the exhaust, you will see that the race 5 or sixth tiny pieces of metal have disappeared from circulation, first you can see the engine failure from oil and unburned fuel.

Needle Settings

Refer to your manual for specific settings for your engine. Problem is that because each RC Nitro Engine is different, you can not just copy your settings buddies, you have to work on these. Break in settings must be as rich as possible, keep the engine cool and the excess fuel and oil will help flush out the tiny pieces of metal that off during the break-in.

Fuel Tank # 1

I'm going to idle the engine of the whole tank, you often need to keep open the throttle about 10% during the first few minutes, at least during the engine warms up. Keep the towers as low as possible, but do not change mixture parameters needle immediately. Once the tank is full let the engine cool for about 5 to 15 minutes. Remember to leave the piston stalled while it cools down, or decrease the sleeve could cause a problem if the piston is there too.

Tank # 2 Gasoline

After the initial slow I'll run the car with little gas as possible, but keep the car in motion, I make sure I accelerate (not more than 25%) I'll do it with gentleness and consistency. It is important to begin to put some load on the engine, because when you made the ride of your RC Car it will load on the engine. Try to match your living conditions to your expected operating conditions as closely as possible. The idea is to slowly build the towers of your engine until your able to hit the max by the end of the tank 7 e. Run your car in a figure-8, that is turning the engine work a little harder. After the 2nd tank, you can begin to address your engine a little.

Fuel Tank # 3 – # 5

Now we are ready to start getting the speed of your Nitro RC car. What I do is start to run the car up and down a long straight, with the figure-8 models idle between them. I'll run up to 25% throttle for about one minute, then rev the car RC flat over 2 seconds. then back to an acceleration of the 25% Max. Make sure you take your car to rev right to its range, but do not take it at full throttle for too long.

Reservoir Fuel # 5 – # 7

I continue as above, but shortening the periods between bursts of full throttle. I also start working on the air from my car, I change the air / fuel mixture before the 5th tank if I'm struggling to keep the engine running. After 5th tank I start to lean the mixture by turning 1/8th. I always like to run it until there are metal bits in the discharge line.

Once your done with the above threshold of the procedure, I would always run my RC Car gently for the first couple of times runway, which will ensure you get the most life our of your new Nitro RC engine.
