Fixed Pitch RC Helicopters Vs collective
RC Helicopters are becoming so popular that it attracts many new followers every day. On hand to this new pleasant pastime, many beginners are confused when they know that the RC helicopters labeled either as "collective Fixed acute "or". For this reason, many new drivers have come to wonder what exactly the difference between the two is.
Understanding how these two configurations differ not, the first step is to get to know what "pitch" means. The "pitch" of a Helicopter is the angle of the blade main rotor. In general, the extent of this land "angle is relative to the horizontal plane. Helicopters generate lift by rotating their rotor in air. With a fixed pitch helicopter when the rotor turns faster, more lift is generated and the helicopter rises. On the other hand, the slowdown of the rotor produces less lift and the helicopter descends. For helicopter collective pitch, the blade height is another factor in lift production equation. In this configuration, the elevator can also be amended by the angle (height) in which the main rotor blade is positioned. In other words, while the rotor rotates at a constant speed, the lift generated can be modified by changing the height only.
Now that we know the technical difference between the two configurations of land, the question is: how does it affect my flight? Simply a helicopter collective pitch is more flexible, agile and smooth flying. Nevertheless, we must find a compromise. They are much more difficult to learn, require an issuer more complex and cost much more than fixed helicopters acute. They also most mobile parts, which means they break more easily and requires more maintenance.
So who should you choose travel? fixed pitch or collective pitch? It depends on your own choices and how you're serious with this hobby. A helicopter has no fixed fewer parts mobile, making it ideal for beginners because it requires less maintenance. Many also argue that a helicopter not fixed is easier to fly (but this claim is often disputed by the greedy pilots). In addition, most of which are fixed pitch helicopters comes in an RTF (Ready to Fly) fixed, and usually includes a wireless transmitter (Who will not work on models not well). However, if you plan to stay in this hobby for a long time and fly in more demanding ways, then perhaps make a bigger investment and getting a helicopter not class will be worth it.
