I have a rc helicopter and the battery life is not good?

You are the victim of old age, just wear. Batteries you can recharge with wear most charge / discharge you put them through. These toys are among the uses that the batteries go. A typical cell LiOH last about 800 cycles in the best conditions. In the worst conditions, as with the toy, the number of cycles that you get is much less. Time to get a replacement battery. I have seen ads Ebay for the replacement of various types and genres for a few dollars plus shipping. Now you know why I waited to buy an MP3 player to find one that uses of AA rechargeable batteries so when I finally die, I will not have to do major surgery to replace them.
