gas powered rc car carburetor tuning?

I just got a rc car im not sure what the model is. its a 4 wheel drive HPI Car is purple on top of a shock and a purple shield also has a head of purple engine, I took a hobby shop for test to see if it would go. we got it to fire for a second but he was dying. the thing that all the books on it, but I can not take the fly right. I tried to start it at home and he did the same to the hobby shop, I played with some needle and now it wont start at all. if I try to start it, it is very difficult to pull the string and then exits the gas exhaust. Could someone give me instructions step by step on how to fix it and turn it
