im working on a mod for a light pipe HELP ….?
Ok, so I am working on a mod for an LED. connecting it via a USB port using a laser mouse old cable. i got all the leads from an old RC car chassis and was the wonderung how to get the power of the LEDs. PLEASE send a picture or using a very discriptive.
The link below shows the connections a USB connector. You have 5 VDC available on pins 1 and 4. Assuming a 3 volt drop across your LED, install a resistance of 100 ohms or 120 in series with each LED. Be careful when making your connections. A short distance could damage your computer or your USB bus. I would not try to feed more 5 LEDs via the USB port.
