Lithium polymer, a new technology, safer and push
lithium-ion polymer, lithium-ion polymer, or more commonly lithium polymer batteries (abbreviated Li-poly, Li-Pol, LiPo, LIP, PLI or lip) are rechargeable batteries (secondary cells). Lithium Polymer Benefits and disadvantages
Advantages

Lightweight – The lithium polymer batteries do not require that the metal casings that are required by lithium-ion
Safe – The polymer electrolyte used in lithium polymer is not flammable
Disadvantages:
More expensive than lithium-ion
Slightly smaller than the enery density lithium-ion
Slightly rely less cycles than the lithium-ion
Applications
