rc car disk brakes
Hello, im doing a project on an RC car but I do not know how to find the speed and / or help someone torque.can please?

Hello, my name is Jolene, 20, a student of aerospace, IM use RC car to create an electromagnetic braking system. I replaced a wheel with a disc of metal, and 2 magnets on each side attached to an aluminum frame (like it] – | – [Where hooks are aluminum frame, int middle row is it the disk and minus signs are the magnets). it does not seem to work. the product is much too Feild small.i connected to a solenoid to a car battery but it seemed to heat. if anyone has any ideas on wat I can do for the field produced by electro-magnets to stop the rotating disc please help. if u can suggest forms and other requirements (ie weight of the disc, speed, etc.) to make this work.

It seems rather difficult, the best way to make a brake for an RC car is not electromagnetism, but when the brake is applied, short-circuiting the motor, the current induced in the engine tries to force it back in the opposite direction, slowing it down, It and electronic speed work, they are proportionately good position to paste. I try to use a steel disk rather that alliance, as ferrous, it might work a little better?
