I need to design a car that stops on a dime! (Physics HMWK)?

for this car and it breaks off a ramp and will travel 3 meters and stop on a mark (which is placed a DIME). I have to design this car! It may have no source of energy except the momentum of the ramp. It could be some form of braking system! LOOKING FOR Suggestions that you are not allowed to have a system breking strong as an RC Car!

Everything you need to do first is to calculate the mass your car using the equation of conservation of energy in terms of Momentum ?mv or ?mv (Kinetic Energy & Potential) and consider of Newton's law of motion F = ma. If the mass is constant, you need to calculate the desired speed. For the braking system I suggest using a winder rubber band, you attach to the rear wheel of the car. Once the car is out of the slip rubber strip to progressively Do wind tighten to stop the car. You can adjust the length of the rubber band as you need distance you want the car to stop.
