rc car clutches
my rc wheels move stalled, why could it be??

hi i there is a gas car nitro 1:10. he 18cxp vertex engines. When I start the car on top of wheel spinning very fast in neutral, I can stop this by applying the brake. I checked the shoes clutch and they are prefectly fine. I closed the throttle by adjusting the idle screw and it never slowed the wheels in motion, but the car began to waver and change the sound as if the engine was shut down on me? What other needled Do I need to adjust the order to stop the wheel moving in neutral?

All Nitro RC cars when running have a certain movement of the drive wheels is because they are all working on a centrifugal clutch. To stop the car running when you start, you need to put the car on a support so that all wheels are above ground and run it. Running once to turn the idle screw until the engine sounds as if it was near stall then turn the screw about 1 to 2 turns in the opposite direction. This should be about the optimum mix running for the car. so that minor adjustments are necessary.
