Radio controlled models also sometimes called remote controlled models come in all shapes and sizes you can get planes, helicopters, boats, cars and trucks and more all RC. Also there are various types of each to choose from depending on what you want to get from your rc model. With RC cars for example there are off road models designed for the use off road and on all terrain, these often come with chunky tires to enable them to grip better in muddy situations or climbing dunes. Then still on the subject of radio controlled cars there are road racing cars designed for speed and racing and there are numerous types including electric (battery powered) and Nitro as well as gas powered. Some people like to just buy and race their rc cars, some like to build them theirself from a kit while others prefer rc helicopters and some glider planes. So you need to decide exactly what you want to do with your radio controlled hobby before you can decide which model is right for you.
Many people consider gas and nitro powered models to be the same and with RC cars they are often called either but when it comes to certain models in particular radio controlled boats, gas powered models run on a mixture of gasoline and oil. And nitro powered models run on a special mixture containing nitro, methanol and oil.
In general nitro powered models whether boats or cars are more powerful and much faster. So another thing to consider is where you will be using your radio controlled model, I mean do you have enough room to use the kind of speed and power associated with nitro models. Another factor to consider is the noise difference. Also when you are running a gas or a nitro powered model there are more mechanical components to maintain such as the carburetor and fuel and air filters to name just a few where as electric powered models are much cheaper to buy , are easy to maintain and make less noise. Also when it comes to refueling it is easier and quicker to change a battery pack than it is to refuel gas. ( that being said, many electric cars require the shell to be removed or other covers to get to the battery pack).
Radio controlled models are becoming increasingly more popular and come in all shapes and sizes from scale models to monster trucks and various sizes of planes, gliders, boats, and helicopters. Also there are plenty of events, shows and races for the enthusiast to attend if they wish.

I love R / C cars when I was little I had a few … Now I’m 14 and my mom and dad will not let me spend money … I have no hobbies and I love all models / rc cars and so on … Does anyone know a cheap hobby club in this region for cars and stuff .. Max I can sorta spend is about £10 a week (I get £10 a week to eat in the canteen of the school, but I’m willing to spend it on this hobby) … i live in the UK, England, Birmingham, Thanks.
..admin – Why not get a job, specifically with the special shops that fix, sell, etc. toy car models? In this way. . . you have money, get discounts to buy something at the store. . . I think employers to hire young responsible guys like you. . . it all depends on your performance and appearance. . .

RC electric cars run on batteries and are easy to operate. These cars are much cheaper compared to Nitro RC cars and are affordable to those with financial difficulties. The batteries are rechargeable, which saves additional fuel costs. Since the RC electric cars are simple to operate and affordable they are the beginners usual first choice. These cars are usually used by beginners to practice their racing skills without great expense. However, electric RC car is slower compared to the nitro powered car.

Just as with other radio control models helicopters are available on the market that run on electric , (ie rechargeable batteries) and also those that use nitro or gas. Probably the easier to control and also the easiest to prepare for flight are the electric models. Nowadays the electric models are just as fast and powerful as the older nitro versions because the electronic technology and battery technology have vastly improved over the past couple of years. It used to be that nitro or gas powered radio control helicopters were considered the best choice but this is no longer the case, now it just a matter of choice, but when choosing there are several factors to consider. As we already mentioned electric models are easier to maintain, easier to control, and parts are readily available should you need to repair your helicopter due to a CRASH ! ( As I recently found out myself when I sent my Airwolf head on into a tree!)
An OBVIOUS tip , make sure you have enough open space to fly and control your RC helicopter! That said you should be prepared for the odd crash landing as accidents with this type of RC Model are common. Luckily there are usually parts available to replace any damage but it can be an expensive hobby if you piloting skills are not up to par. I have had light damage on several occasions and completely written off one expensive model. I keep the parts left over from the crash that were reusable in case of future accidents but the vital parts of the copter were trashed.
There are also various different models and many different prices to choose from depending on what you want. There are single channels lower cost models, two, three, and four channel models to choose from. There are various types of battery packs that they can come with , some offer more power and longer air time. There are even RC helicopters which come with a radio camera to enable you to take pictures and even videos from the skies! Great!

There are really only a few checks to make with electric models prior to flight. You should check all connections from the battery, antenna and all other connections if you want to avoid loosing control of your model in full flight! Nitro powered helicopters are a little more work to maintain because as well as the electrics for the receiver you have mechanical parts to maintain also.
Generally speaking maintenance of RC helicopter is very easy, just look after it, clean the various parts after use and keep it in a safe place and above all, Enjoy, and try NOT to crash.

Nitro RC Trucks are fun?
I want to get a Nitro RC Truck for Christmas i, but first I want to know if worth pursuing. are difficult to establish whether the brakes and the speed with which they go.
Hella are fun and go fast. My husband has one that loves to play with him but can reach spendy if you run into things and break the parts and stuff. There are hobby shops that can make adjustments for you and what kindda but if you are mechanically inclined as a husband mhy does all his own work. It just depends on your level of mechanical ability and remember … becuz you can only fix a full size car these little things are a little different to do some research online and stuff. They come with a manual that provides basic solutions and troubleshooting as well ………. good lucky!

I found a remote control car in my basement with your remote control. It is a toy with the 4 basic directions (towards back, forward, right and left) and its 27 MHz, but my other two 27 MHz controllers do not work. Help?

What is an RC car good place to start with?
I have a friend who is talking of getting a RC car. He wants me to buy a TC4. That is a lot of money. World In Action Craft and Hobby dolllars its 215 for a team and for their $ 235 RTR. And the thickness of RC cars hard to start with. Thus if you please tell me what is the best RC car for a bigger image. I like to get a kit but I would like to have a car RTR RC.
Scale RC cars are the best. EDIT: These RC cars are very fast, and are $ 300 and more, and are the size of a regular rectangle pillow (size of a 2 / 1 of a backpack) EDIT: Im pretty sure that there is very rapid regular sized vehicles out there in stores. Get those. Or, for action stunt performers, RC Monster Truck.
